Responsibilities :

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Providing Medication Reminders to clients to ensure adherence to medication schedules.
• Reporting any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or Office team to contact the client's healthcare provider.
• Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including ambulation assistance, and stand & pivot transfers when necessary.
• Maintain client confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and best practices in patient privacy.
• Document care provided and any observations regarding the client's condition or needs accurately.
• Collaborate with the Visiting Angels office staff, family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Requirements :

Valid Drivers License (No Learner's Permits).

Reliable Source of Transportation. We do provide transportation services to our clients and you may need to utilize your vehicle if your client does not have one.

Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background in the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (ACHA) clearing house.

Be available to work rotating weekends.

Previous experience in home community care or caregiving is preferred. However, training will be provided to the right candidate.

Familiarity with dementia care techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. However, training will be provided to the right candidate.

Ability to lift up to 25lbs for clients safely and assist with mobility as required.

Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.

Basic skills in meal preparation that align with nutritional guidelines for clients.

Certification in BLS CPR / First Aid is preferred but not mandatory at hiring; Training and Certification will be provided for free to the right candidate. Willingness to obtain certification is required.

Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy are essential for building trusting relationships with clients.
