Kendall Hunt Publishing is seeking a K-12 California Field Representative to join our growing team. We are a results-driven organization dedicated to improving student outcomes through innovative educational solutions. Our products and services support educators, students, and administrators across the K-12 spectrum.

As we continue to grow in California, we are looking for a passionate, results-oriented Sales Representative to drive revenue growth across an assigned California territory. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with district decision-makers, school administrators, and educators while promoting our curriculum and services that align with state standards and adoption requirements. Salary is commensurate with experience.

In A Typical Work Week, K-12 California Sales Representative Will...

  • Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities with K-12 schools and districts in an assigned territory.
  • Build strong relationships with educators, administrators, and district leaders.
  • Conduct effective presentations, product demonstrations, and consultations (virtual and in-person).
  • Maintain deep knowledge of state educational standards, curriculum adoption cycles, and funding sources.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, and operations) to align strategy and support client needs.
  • Attend regional and state education conferences, trade shows, and events.
  • Use CRM tools to track leads, forecast sales, and report on pipeline activity.

Characteristics of Who KH Looks for in K-12 California Sales Representative You are...

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of sales experience in K-12 education, EdTech, curriculum publishing, or a related field.
  • Proven success in a consultative sales role with a track record of meeting revenue goals.
  • Strong understanding of the California K-12 education landscape, including curriculum adoptions and funding processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Willingness to travel within California.
  • Experience working with public, charter, and private schools in California.
  • Familiarity with education technologies, digital learning platforms, or curriculum products.
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required, in accordance with the company's corporate driving policy.
