Job Title : Travel Radiation Therapist Facility : MMC Las Cruces Location : Las Cruces, New Mexico Shift : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM

Position Summary : MMC Las Cruces is seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Radiation Therapist to join its oncology care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and safe radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by radiation oncologists, while maintaining a high standard of patient care and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments using linear accelerators and other equipment
  • Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization for each treatment
  • Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report any adverse reactions or concerns
  • Maintain detailed treatment records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and medical physicists to ensure optimal treatment delivery
  • Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions
  • Educate patients and families about treatment procedures and expectations
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control guidelines

    • Qualifications :

  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy
  • Active New Mexico state license or eligibility to obtain
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in radiation therapy
  • Proficiency with treatment planning systems and oncology software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
