Overview
The Location Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Wyyerd’s rapid broadband network deployment by providing accurate, actionable location intelligence. This position requires a strong technical background in location data collection, cleaning, spatial analysis, and reporting, along with the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external partners. The analyst will work closely with Planning, OSP Engineering, Construction, and Marketing teams to ensure data accuracy, improve efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Location Reporting & Analysis
Assist with creating and maintaining data visualizations, maps, and reports to communicate geographic trends and patterns to stakeholders, including leadership teams.
Ensure accuracy of location types and proper attribution across internal systems.
Collaborate with team leaders to confirm service locations are consistently represented in company tools.
Partner with Marketing to ensure upcoming locations are accurately staged for campaigns.
Data Management & Updates
Add or update service locations based on requests or research findings.
Work across multiple teams to ensure timely and accurate updates to location data.
Update competitor data results within Wyyerd systems for comparative analysis.
Support additional ad hoc location-related projects as needed.
Technical & Analytical Contributions
Apply programming skills (Python, SQL, R) to analyze, clean, and validate location datasets.
Conduct spatial and competitor analysis to inform business strategy.
Deliver clear insights and recommendations through dashboards, presentations, and written reports.
Required Skills & Tools
Analytical & Critical Thinking : Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, solve problems, and draw logical conclusions.
Technical Proficiency :
Python, SQL and R for data manipulation and querying
Excel, Tableau, or Power BI for visualization and reporting.
GIS proficiency for mapping and spatial analysis. (ArcGIS, QGIS, e.g. Heat Maps, Proximity Analysis)
Communication Skills : Ability to present technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Business Acumen : Understanding of broadband deployment objectives and how data insights drive operational success.
Experience & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
3–5 years of experience in a related data analysis, GIS, or telecom role.
Positive attitude with eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of fiber network construction processes (preferred).
Strong working knowledge of computer systems, databases, and reporting tools.
Must maintain a clean driving record.
Familiarity with ISP / OSP services and cross-functional collaboration.
