We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Lenexa, Kansas. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and finance, with a proven ability to handle complex financial tasks and work independently. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to critical accounting processes and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Responsibilities :

• Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial data.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and post journal entries, verifying accuracy and supporting documentation.
• Perform account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies effectively.
• Oversee construction accounting processes, ensuring accurate tracking of project costs and expenditures.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Continuously review and improve accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and company policies.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, demonstrating attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.
• Experience in construction accounting or a similar field is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
