High School Level American Literature Tutor

Overview

Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform seeks online tutors for High School Level American Literature. You’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make an impact on students’ learning journeys from home.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring in High School Level American Literature via the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform.
  • Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like; tutor remotely with no commuting required.
  • Be matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
  • Utilize available platform tools to enhance sessions (e.g., real-time instructional support and engagement features).
  • Invoice for tutoring sessions; the platform handles payments and logistics.

What We Look For In a Tutor

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in High School Level American Literature and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Preference given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

    • Compensation and Benefits

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40 / hour.
  • Get paid up to twice per week for completed sessions.
