Shape reliable production, one cycle at a time
Imagine starting your day by walking the production floor, confirming every press is running to spec, and coaching a team that looks to you for direction. As our Injection Molding Process Technologist, you’ll be the go-to expert who keeps molding processes dialed-in, quality tight, and schedules on track. You’ll collaborate closely with Shift Supervisors, Mold Techs, Leads, and production operators to deliver consistent results across equipment, resins, and part families.

- 11 : 45pm – 8 : 15am
A day in the life
You begin by reviewing the master schedule to align priorities for your work centers. Cycle sheets and work orders are verified, machines are checked against standard cycles and allowable scrap, and any deviations are escalated and logged. Throughout the shift, you’re troubleshooting, guiding mold setups, and coordinating with technicians and material handlers to keep production flowing. You inspect parts for conformance, approve limit samples at startup, and make sure downtime and scrap codes are accurately recorded in IQMS. Your leadership shows up in the details : enforcing safety and housekeeping, ensuring purge and line-clearance procedures are followed, and scheduling preventive mold cleaning to avoid surprises. You wrap the shift by communicating status, issues, and instructions to the next team—so momentum never stops.
What you’ll oversee
Plan and direct daily production from the master schedule to meet output and quality targets.Hit or exceed shift productivity metrics (scrap, utilization, and standards attainment).Keep all work centers running with approved cycle sheets and correct scheduled work orders.Maintain rigorous safety practices, quality-control standards, daily priorities, and strong housekeeping.Verify machines run to standard cycles, allowable scrap, work instructions, and the quality plan; ensure timely entry of downtime and scrap codes in IQMS.Inspect parts for specification compliance; direct teams on machine adjustments as needed.Coordinate troubleshooting and problem solving with technicians, material handlers, and leads to support the schedule, following action plans for processes out of range.Support quality at startup : approve limit samples, oversee machine starts, respond to supervisor notices of defects, and address quality issues during the shift.Schedule tooling and equipment use; drive repairs and maintenance via accurate work orders.Assign and coordinate daily preventive mold cleaning for all presses per procedures.Enforce purge procedures and line clearances per work instructions.Train and coach team leaders, cell leaders, operators, and materials staff to company standards, including 5S, SOPs, MRB, data collection, and accurate floor dispositions.Document process deviations in the log and follow escalation protocols.Communicate shift-to-shift status, quality concerns, and instructions.Foster positive employee relations and apply company policies consistently and fairly.Promote continuous improvement, 5S, one-piece flow, and root-cause problem solving.Provide hands-on leadership that builds teamwork, trust, accountability, and a can-do culture.Qualifications
