Responsibilities :
Lead, organize, monitor, and partake in the month-end close processCompile and analyze financial information for the preparation of journal entriesReconcile Balance Sheet accounts and perform daily tasks as assignedPrepare and maintain complex schedules for prepayments, accruals, and deferralsManage fixed assets, including maintaining proper documentation and depreciationAssist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, cash flow statements, and other metricsFulfill tax, audit, and other detailed requests from CPA firms and outside agenciesParticipate in the implementation and improvement of accounting processesCollaborate with other departments to facilitate ongoing projects and initiativesSupport AR and AP functions by facilitating schedules and data as neededOther duties as assigned by the accounting manager, controller, and other executivesRequirements :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business-related field requiredWorking knowledge of GAAP, journal entry preparation, and financial reportingFamiliarity with ROU, cash flow, revenue recognition, and external auditsClear understanding of accounting common practices and internal controlsExperience with complex Balance Sheet reconciliations and related supporting schedulesAbility to build rapport with colleagues and work in a collaborative environmentStrong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and great time managementExcellent written and verbal communication skills both in person and remotelyComfortable and familiar with virtual platforms of communicationStrong understanding of Excel, Outlook and other MS Office applicationsQuickBooks Desktop proficiency required (will consider comparable software)
