AP Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Lanham, MD that is seeking an AP Specialist.Responsibilities :

• Receive, review, and process vendor invoices, matching purchase orders, packing slips, and approvals
• Verify accuracy of pricing, quantities, taxes, and account coding
• Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit card payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and ensure compliance with company policies
• Monitor AP aging and assist with cash flow forecasting
• Assist with month-end close : accruals, AP reconciliations, and reporting
• Allocate invoices to correct jobs, phases, and cost codes based on project budgets
• Work with project managers to validate job-related charges and ensure cost accuracy
• Track job cost variances and support job cost reporting
• Maintain accurate job cost data in the accounting system (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Viewpoint, etc.)
• Support project audits and provide documentation as needed

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical / dental / vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
