Job descriptionProvide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe conditions that may require attention. Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas for any suspicious behavior or potential disturbances. Communicate professionally with store staff, visitors, and / or patrons while maintaining a visible presence. Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents and / or unusual occurrences observed during patrols. Follow all Allied Universal protocols and client site instructions to maintain a secure environment. Customer service experience is preferred. A valid security guard card or license is preferred. Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Retail Patrol Full-Time in Sherman Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for visitors, staff, and property. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication.
