Design and Purchasing Coordinator

At DHI Builds, Inc. in Murrieta, CA, we're looking for a full-time Design and Purchasing Coordinator who can bring creative vision and operational precision to our residential remodeling projects.

DESIGN AND PURCHASING COORDINATOR : PAY & BENEFITS

With pay ranging from $25 – $35 per hour , you'll play a central role in the success of our projects!

This position operates on a steady Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM schedule . You'll collaborate with both internal teams and external partners during regular business hours, ensuring timely progress on all client selections and material coordination.

THE TYPE OF DESIGN AND PURCHASING COORDINATOR WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of experience in residential remodeling, interior design, or a similar field
• Proficiency in one or more of the following : SketchUp, Chief Architect, or 2020 Design
• Strong aesthetic sensibility and ability to align with client design styles (modern farmhouse, transitional, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive
• Familiarity with kitchen and bath remodel materials (tile, cabinets, plumbing fixtures, etc.)

Preferred :

Each day, you'll guide clients through selecting materials and finishes that match their personal style and the project budget, using tools like SketchUp, Chief Architect, or 2020 Design to create floor plans, renderings, and mood boards. After gaining client approval, you'll document all selections in Buildertrend or similar project software. Then, you'll generate purchase orders and coordinate deliveries for materials such as tile, cabinets, lighting, and plumbing fixtures. You'll communicate with suppliers to confirm lead times and track inventory to avoid delays or discrepancies. Alongside the project manager and field team, you'll ensure every update, change, and design adjustment is clearly communicated-helping keep the job running smoothly from pre-construction through final execution.
