Team Supervisor Lab Courier Services / Full-time

Description

POSITION SUMMARY : Responsible for displaying behavior that promotes accountability for performance of job tasks which will meet or exceed the customer's expectations. Plans, directs, organizes, maintains, and oversees the daily operation of the Courier Department. This position will supervise, train, essential cross coverage, and staff development. Will work closely with the Courier Manager and staff.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION : High school diploma or equivalent with advanced college or business course preferred.

CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : Valid New Mexico Driver's License.

SKILLS :

Supervisory, teaching, effective communication skills

Read and write English

Excellent customer relation skills

EXPERIENCE : Four years of Healthcare and Laboratory experience preferred.

NATURE OF SUPERVISION :

• Responsible to : Laboratory Courier Manager

ENVIRONMENT :

May be required to wear gloves, laboratory coat, facemask, and goggles. Exposed to carcinogenic, hazardous and flammable chemicals; biohazardous and radioactive materials; sharp needles and blades; infectious specimens; toxic fumes and mental stress.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : May be required to work more than a standard shift as dictated by workload, staffing, and equipment failure. Driving, standing, sitting, and / or ambulating for the entire shift assigned. Prefer the ability to move supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds. Communicate via phone and computer.
