Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney : San Antonio

We are working with an established, full-service San Antonio law firm committed to the most favorable, possible outcome for its clients delivered by attorneys who hear, respect, and value them. The firm is currently seeking an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years as an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney and will work closely with the lead shareholder to handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters. Being a team player, thinking independently, and interacting well with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary are skills necessary to success. Base salary is $135,000 with supplementary production bonuses. The firm offers benefits that include a 401(k) plan with employer match, health insurance covered at 100% for employee and family, optional dental and vision insurance, and life insurance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the entire legal process, from investigation and discovery through trial prep and court proceedings.
• Work cases through, including taking depositions, oral arguments and hearing attendance, negotiating settlements, reporting to clients, etc.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations
• Research applicable laws and findings to develop appropriate legal strategies.
• Examine video, documentary, and physical evidence.
• Take depositions and respond to discovery requests.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
• Preparation of detailed case reports and summaries
