Job description

Unarmed Security Officer - Access Control

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for guests and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining visibility to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in managing access points, verifying credentials, and responding to guest inquiries with professionalism. Pay Rate : $19.57 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Tue 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Wed 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sun 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to guests, residents, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to support a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and / or client representatives as required.
  • Assist with emergency response activities and follow site protocols during incidents or evacuations.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
