About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient physical therapy team in Peoria. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to carry out treatment plans, ensure accurate documentation, and help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
- Carry out physical therapy treatment plans in compliance with state practice guidelines.
- Respond to patient questions, provide guidance, and maintain high standards of care.
- Document all patient care activities per state practice act and organizational standards.
- Act as an integrated member of the treatment team for assigned patients.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, infection control, and organizational policies.
- Assist in training Physical Therapy Technicians.
- Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
Education & Certification Requirements
Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program (required).Current Arizona PTA certification (required).Experience
Minimum of 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience or equivalent.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of physical therapy standards, principles, and equipment use.Familiarity with OSHA requirements and infection control practices.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to recognize fall risks and support high-risk patients.Effective communication and patient engagement skills.Ability to work with patients across diverse ages, abilities, and backgrounds.Competence in EMR documentation and use of clinical software.Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform kneeling, squatting, and overhead lifting.Work Environment
Outpatient clinic setting with some community-based travel.Requires sitting, standing, and assisting with patient transfers.Why Join Us

Requirements
Active Arizona PTA license (or eligibility to obtain before start date).Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.Passing NPTE scores.
