Controller Position
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Controller to lead the financial operations of our organization in Orlando, Florida. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and will oversee a wide range of accounting and financial activities. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee all accounting functions, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, and accrual processes.
- Lead the preparation of monthly management reports, ensuring timely month-end close processes, performance analysis, and effective communication with business leaders.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and monthly profit and loss projections in collaboration with the VP of Finance and other business leaders.
- Conduct comprehensive financial risk assessments on projects to ensure compliance with company policies and identify potential exposures, recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Serve as a key member of the U.S. management team, offering financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making to align with organizational objectives.
- Manage compliance activities, including annual audits, corporate and sales tax filings, and regulatory requirements in partnership with external tax firms.
- Establish and maintain internal controls by developing consistent finance policies and encouraging continuous improvement within the financial team.
- Build and maintain strong banking relationships, ensuring compliance with loan covenants and other financial agreements.
- Lead and motivate the finance team by setting goals, removing obstacles, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required AND CPA is required.A minimum of 10 years of experience, including managing an accounting department, is essential.Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of ownership in all financial responsibilities.Proven ability to challenge and improve processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and relevance of financial outputs.Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a team-oriented approach.Strong business acumen with expertise in stakeholder management, problem-solving, and delivering impactful presentations.Proficiency in financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and conducting risk assessments.Strategic planning skills with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.Previous ERP system implementation experience required.
