Warehouse Coordinator

To direct the daily activities of a warehouse or account, including labor scheduling, and proper utilization of space and equipment as directed by Distribution Manager.

Works the hours needed to support the business goals (including overtime, weekends and holidays). Remains open-minded, performs a wide variety of job tasks, transitions from task to task effectively (multi-task).

Always present and punctual; arrives prepared for work. Completes work in a timely, accurate and consistent manner. Plan and schedule your time off in advance with your supervisor or manager. Avoid unscheduled days off which will result in attendance points.

Approaches new tasks with an interest to learn. Has the ability to learn techniques as job task requirements change.

Seeks out additional work when job tasks are completed. Goes above and beyond required tasks. Participate in pre-shift meetings and department meetings. Display pride in your work area by maintaining daily housekeeping of our operations building, equipment, break rooms, restrooms, smoke areas, etc. Promote teamwork and assist in all areas and processes in the operation as needed / required.

Maintains high standards despite pressing deadlines. Produces accurate, thorough and professional work. Understands the importance of "Only Handle It Once OHIO", by completing work correctly the first time.

Follows all written and verbal instructions provided by management, project leader, etc.

Shares all information in a professional and factual manner ensuring the best decisions are made for the company. Report all issues to your manager / supervisor.

Maintains an appropriate appearance and dresses in accordance with the established dress code guidelines to your respective position.

Follows all rules, guideline, and practices. Informs supervisor / manager immediately if unsafe conduct or conditions arise.

Ability to coordinate and communicate

The ability to build a good relationship with the team.

Knowledge of WMS and Microsoft Outlook..

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.

Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device.

Must be able to lift 50lbs., sit, stand and walk for extended periods.

Must be able to twist, squat and reach above shoulder level.

Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

As directed by Distribution Manager, plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned / damaged goods, maintenance and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met.

Understand customer contract requirements.

Ensure SOP and customer work instructions are followed.

Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily labor schedules.

Motivate and lead the team to achieve stated objectives.

Develop and maintain a productive work team by assisting the Distribution Manager in training and cross training of employees.

Assist Distribution Manager to ensure current and accurate inventory control for each account.

Follow food / safety SOPs and AIB standards.

Report equipment and facility building / grounds damage and repairs.

Drive a culture of safety throughout the company to achieve safety goals and objectives.

Follow safety and security policies and SOPs

Ensure all departments' equipment and overall appearance is maintained as defined by the company. Report deviations to Distribution Manager.

Ensure storage of product is in a neat and orderly fashion according to customer requirements.

Direct disposal or repack of non-conforming products per the customer's work instructions.

Assist with monthly facility audits.

Interface directly with the customer and maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all customers.

Ensure customer requests are responded to immediately. Provides follow-up to customers to ensure that problem is resolved or being worked on.

Communicate company information via pre-shift meetings as directed by Distribution Manager.

Continuously evaluate ways to improve the accuracy and efficiencies of department. (identifying at least 1 significant improvement annually)
