Under the clinical supervision of the Clinical Supervisor / Director the Mental Health Therapist provides individual, group, or family psychotherapy.
The therapist collaborates in a multi-disciplinary setting with other Serenity Health and Wellness Corporation Clinicians to provide comprehensive treatment to the client and his or her family.
Responsibilities :
- Complete diagnostic assessments and other ongoing assessments such as mental status exams and various risk assessments, utilizing the DSM-V criteria to appropriately diagnose mental health and / or substance use disorders.
- Develops, implements, coordinates services, and monitors and evaluates individualized treatment plans.
- Provides individual, family, and / or group psychotherapy sessions utilizing evidenced-based practices.
- Collaborates with the Serenity Health and Wellness Corporation staff, community professionals, and community agencies in coordinating care services and maintaining continuity of care.
- Maintains clinical records in compliance with Serenity Health and Wellness Corporation policies and regulatory standards.
- May participate in quality assessment / peer review of documentation.
- Maintains and enhances knowledge of current clinical practice, strategies, and developments through participation in his or her professional organization; attending related seminars, workshops, and conferences; and reviewing the literature.
- Maintains an active professional licensure via the Ohio CSWMFT Board.
- Prepares and submits accurate, timely billing records as per Program requirements.
- Complies with documentation requirements as outlined in program policies and procedures for activities (e.g., assessments, treatment plans, treatment procedures, and discharge summaries) and in the preparation of required reports.
- Coordinates the delivery of service provisions and acts as an advocate in accessing other needed services.
- Identifies and provides crisis interventions as needed.
- Maintains familiarity with community resources and their limitations, the procedures for making referrals, and the confidentiality requirements inherent to the referral process.
- Recognizes the need for case consultation by adhering to continued supervision including, but not limited to case reviews, group supervision, individual case reviews, teach backs, role plays, and unsuccessful case reviews.
- Maintains contact with refencing professionals and seeks assistance in matters that exceed the Counselor's level of expertise and / or scope of practice.
- Effectively acts as a representative of the agency.
- Manages time and organizes work demands appropriately.
- Maintains ability to type / use computer and all programs implemented by the Agency including but not limited to those maintaining electronic health records.
- Other duties as assigned.

Have a master’s degree in counseling or related field.Current license in the state of Ohio required (LPC, LPCC, LMFT, IMFT, LSW, LISW)Individual & family psychotherapy experience required.Must have valid driver’s license.Job Type :
