Summary / Purpose of Job

The EVS Lead Technician oversees general environmental services duties as assigned while also providing supervision, technical and operational support to the department. The Lead is responsible for ensuring clean and sanitary areas on patient floors, public areas, and employee areas.

Primary Job Duties / Essential Functions

• Responsible for sweeping, dust moping, scrubber usage and maintenance, rooms, hallways, entryways, stairways, etc.; collecting trash and refuse from work areas and placing in designated areas.
• Clean, sanitize and polish bath, lavatory and shower areas, sink fixtures and facilities including drinking fountains. Ensure that the drainage of all commodes and sinks in the assigned areas are working properly and shall be expected to clear those that are not.
• Prepare sanitized beds for new patients, including the correct placement of bed linens. Ensure that all room furniture is placed in accordance with hospital standards
• Other duties as assigned
