Director of Underwriting

We're partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization that provides innovative business solutions tailored to the unique needs of faith-based organizations. They are currently seeking a Director of Underwriting to join their Health Solutions leadership team.

This is a critical strategic role responsible for driving underwriting excellence, managing risk, and delivering analytical insights that support sustainable, high-impact benefits programs for church plans and multi-employer trusts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the underwriting team and oversee the financial aspects of health and welfare benefits, including pricing, risk assessment, and liability management.
• Develop and implement data-driven underwriting strategies aligned with the organization's goals and client needs.
• Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives involving multi-employer trusts and church benefit plans through reporting, evaluation, and executive-level presentations.
• Analyze industry trends, demographics, claims data, enrollment patterns, and plan designs for both new and renewing groups.
