Senior Contract Administrator

In this role you will be interfacing with the Government Contracting Officer and will occasionally travel to client sites.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Reviews client contracts of all types to identify risks and conformity with company policy.
- Proposes alternative language and clauses to client contracts based on sound contracting approaches.
- Ensures that the contract is thoroughly reviewed for legal, risk management, tax, and accounting issues.
- Participates as a lead member of the negotiating team, consisting of business development and project management personnel, for establishing business terms and contract conditions.
- Monitors and administers the business provisions of prime contracts to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Advises Program Managers and Teams regarding scope, financial, and risk issues of prime contracts.
- May be responsible for overseeing a significant portion of the contract administration activities within designated business unit market areas.
- Solves significant prime contract problems, taking proactive and coordinated action in accordance with prescribed by project procedures and practices.
- Supports and prepares Requests for Equitable Adjustments and Claims as needed on programs supported.
- Works with proposal teams in the drafting and submission of proposals, focusing on the Contracts Volume and related information to include terms and conditions, and assumptions.
- Develops, reviews and negotiations Non-disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Joint Ventures, and other contractual documents.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Collaborates with colleagues across organizational lines to obtain and transmit business information necessary for the Project Manager to more effectively monitor the status of the project.
- Assists in pricing change orders and follows through to ensure that contractual coverage is implemented.
- Prepares letters to client requesting approvals and interpretations required to comply with the provisions of the contract.
- Collaborates with appropriate Procurement personnel on project subcontract matters.
- Monitors project expenditures versus contract cost limitations.
- Prepares letters to clients notifying them of contract cost limitations and requirements for additional funds.
- Prepares project / facility acceptance documents and follows through to ensure acceptances are approved by the client.
- Furnishes business and financial information requested by the client, as delegated by the Project Manager.
- Identifies contractual problems and takes appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory resolution. Follows up on problems demanding management attention to ensure a timely response to the client.
- Ongoing assistance to corporate entities in the Accounting / Financial arena
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on contract issues.
- Occasional travel for meetings.
What Required Skills You'll Bring :
TS / SCI RequiredBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field and typically 5+ years of contract administration experience.Candidate needs to have strong working knowledge of contract negotiation and management, of both Prime Federal Government and Commercial Subcontracts, including strong knowledge of FAR / DFAR and other FAR Supplements.Requires a thorough knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts in the Federal space, with a focus on the more sensitive members of the Intelligence Community.Candidate must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration, as well as familiarity with CostpointDesire candidate with some non-Federal contracting experience, including commercial, construction, municipal or state government contracting.Ability to appropriately handle classified information and hold secure classified discussionsUS Person.What Desired Skills You'll Bring :
Ability to multi-task and to complete tasks in a timely fashion, especially those that require coordination.Understanding the requirements to obtain and maintain necessary business licensing, at the state and local levels where / when relevantPrefer the candidate to have some government employee experienceStrong knowledge of proposal review, contract review, negotiation, and administration, as well as compliance with U.S. export and other regulations governing international business to provide for contract development, negotiation and management in accordance with company policy.Thorough understanding of contracting principles and commercial terms and conditions, as they relate to international business, as well as experience demonstrating a broad application of those principles.Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) and / or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)Some program management experience would be beneficialSecurity Clearance Requirement : An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
