POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Engineering Tech is responsible for providing support within the Quality department through quality system maintenance and improvement, data collection and analysis, and quality improvement projects. This position has site-wide responsibility as directed to accomplish departmental objectives. Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Contribute to accident-free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
  • Participate in daily plant production calls to ensure engagement with trial plans
  • Support Quality-related shop floor activities during Plant trials including but not limited to new line commissioning, material trials, tooling trials, trouble-shooting efforts, quality training, etc.
  • Routine dimensional data analysis and publication for continuous improvement efforts
  • Primary owner and point of contact for highly technical test equipment (Keyence IM, Emboss Lasers, Bytewise 360, CMM, etc.). This includes programming, use, repair, training, calibration, etc.
  • Maintain the calibration system and calibration status of measurement tools.
  • Operate in a manner that provides value to the team.

Assist in the Physical Testing Lab (Flex and / or Impact Testing)

  • Assist in the Material Test Labs (Prairie and Green Plant Labs)
  • Assist with projects in Wood, Rail, and PVC Plants
  • Assist with Process and Quality Engineering projects
  • Support new product launches (sample collection, data collection and analysis, etc.)
  • Other responsibilities as required.

    Education : Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) : Preferred

    Experience : 1 plus years of experience
