Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shifts and a NC or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a 10-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
  • Shift is 4x12-hour nights from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 30 am
  • Patient ratios range from 1 : 1 to 1 : 4 depending on stage of labor
  • Weekend and holiday shifts are required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Travelers may be required to float to similar or lower acuity units
  • Uses Meditech EMR and experience is required
  • Responsibilities include providing comprehensive maternal and fetal care throughout all stages of labor and delivery
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members in the Women's Services department
  • Both weekends and holidays are required workdays
  • Manager will review and interview candidates
  • RTO (requested time off) must be submitted up front to be considered
  • Two professional references must be provided for consideration
  • Candidates who are local within 50 miles are not eligible

  • Active NC or compact RN license required
  • Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required
  • Recent hospital Labor & Delivery experience required
  • Experience with Meditech EMR required
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Proof of education (high school diploma, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree) required
  • Copy of driver’s license and Social Security card required for consideration
