The goal of the Chief Medical Officer role is to set
the vision and agenda for improvement in clinical outcomes, as well
as resource utilization, patient-centered care coordination, and
patient experience so as to optimize the quality of care through
rigorous outcomes measurement, data analytics, and performance
improvement processes. The Chief Medical Officer will manage the
creation, updating, and implementation of quality and safety
standards and processes for the hospital to ensure consistency and
continuity with the goal of reducing inappropriate variation. The
Chief Medical Officer will be a member of the hospital's executive
team and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Grandview
is a Level III Trauma Center, certified Chest Pain Center, and in
growth mode! The CMO would work closely with multiple teams and
medical staff to work on throughput initiatives, reducing ALOS,
managing supply costs, and driving the overall quality performance
for the facility. Ideal candidates will have a background as a
Chief Medical Officer in an acute hospital environment, preferably
with 200+ beds or more. Candidates should be able to articulate
their current work performance and results of executing change.
Minimum of 5 years of post-training practice experience - Graduate
of an accredited medical school with an M.Has or can obtain an
Alabama Medical licensure - Preferred, degree in a master's level
program (MBA, MPH, MMM, etc.) Considered candidates must have
current leadership experience in an acute care hospital setting and
