Summary :
The Assistant Dean of Student Affairs is responsible for supporting the Dean of Student Affairs in the development, implementation, and management of student services programs that foster student success, engagement, and retention. This position will oversee various student affairs initiatives, providing leadership to student support services, and collaborating with faculty, staff, and community partners to enhance the overall student experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Directly supervise full-time, regular part-time and other part-time employees assigned to the position. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with College policies, Collective Bargaining Agreements and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, and taking corrective action with employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts and create and manage budgets. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
