Job Description Security Guard

A security guard's job is to monitor a property for safety and security, and to respond to any emergencies. Security guards are often the first to notice and act on security issues. Responsibilities include : patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance cameras, entrances, and exits, authorizing who can enter and exit the property, responding to alarms and other emergencies in a timely manner, reporting any suspicious activity, incidents, or irregularities, assisting people in need, providing information, and guiding traffic, securing doors, windows, and other entrances, completing reports, and being a visible deterrent to crime and rule infractions. Skills include excellent communication, being proactive and attentive during working hours, and being able to work independently.
