Job descriptionWork on 44-bed Progressive Care Unit located on K7 floor of K Tower Patient ratios of 4 : 1 at grid, 5 : 1 when stretched Work every other weekend schedule Float to stepdown units and med-surg units as needed Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must have neuro and trauma care experience Dress code requires navy blue scrubs Work with equipment including IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pump, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts Electronic medical record system : Cerner Perform typical procedures including neuro and spinal checks, C-Collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tube management, PCA pump administration, IV infusions, lumber drain care, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions Must demonstrate team player attitude and patient-focused approach Work alongside day shift grid of 2 CNC / Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 HUC Night shift grid includes 2 CNC / Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 HUC Referral bonus

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
