DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, will perform a full range of duties at the UCSD McGrath Outpatient Pavilion. Assists the pharmacist in the preparation of medications (including antineoplastics / chemotherapy) for patient use for IV sterile compounding preparation & administration in accordance to established procedures under USP

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Pharmacy terminology and calculations.
• Proficient computer experience and accurate data entry skills.
• Strong detail and organizational skills to sort, file and retrieve information.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences.
• Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
• Ability to work in a self-directed work team environment and function effectively in a high-volume, multiple demand environments.

Annual Full Pay Range : $67,756 - $84,209 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent : $32.45 - $40.33
