Volt is immediately hiring   CNC Programmer in TRACY, California.

As  CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for.

Summary :

Experienced CNC Machinist Supervisor / Lead responsible for machining parts and prototypes for material handling equipment across multiple industries. This role includes CNC programming, setup, and mentoring Machine Operators. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep technical knowledge and a passion for team development.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and coach a team of machinists in CNC operations and best practices.
  • Read and interpret drawings / specs to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • Operate CNC mills, lathes, and conventional machines to fabricate metal parts.
  • Determine sequences of operations and ensure precision accuracy.
  • Assign work based on skills, tools, and production goals.
  • Guide setup procedures and machining operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve machining / tooling issues to minimize downtime.
  • Implement and maintain 5S standards.
  • Maintain workforce efficiency and training programs.
  • Enforce company policies and administer disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Participate in job evaluations and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Production Leadership on cost reduction, tooling, and maintenance initiatives.

Requirements :

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as a first-class machinist.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • High school or vocational school graduate; formal apprenticeship or equivalent trades training.
  • Supervisory / administrative training preferred.
  • Proficient in shop math, blueprint reading, and dimensioning.
  • Experience with conventional mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC turning centers.
  • Knowledge of tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures.
  • SolidWorks experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • This is a FULLY ONSITE position; must be able to report onsite daily.

    Job Title :          CNC Programmer

    Location :          TRACY, California 95304

    Duration :           4 Months contract.

    Shift time :         1st shift

    Pay range :         $30 / hr. to $ 32 / hr.
