Scoot is excited to be hiring, training and placing paraprofessionals in around Renton, WA. For long-term roles, you'll have access to up-front and ongoing paid training in completing our para micro-credential , designed and delivered by our outstanding learning and development team.

What youll do :

  • Work closely with students, either 1 : 1 or across entire classrooms
  • Build rapport and trust with the children in your care
  • Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
  • Support resource teacher(s) in deliver IEP's (individual education plans)
  • Follow direction from, and assist lead educators

  • Providing you your very own designated Scoot consultant - most of our consultants used to be educators so they can advise based on their experience
  • Doing 1 : 1 check-ins and discussing school feedback with you, positive and constructive

    • Application requirements :

  • Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
  • Valid CPR Certificate
  • Background Check (well cover the cost of this!)

    • Youll stand out if you have :

  • Experience working in K-12 schools
  • Spent time in special education settings
  • Any SpEd-specific training
  • ABA experience (applied behavior analysis)
