Lead Patient Service Specialist

Department : MH Surgical Care Brunswick (supporting MH Surgical Care, MH Wound Care, and MH Infectious Disease - Brunswick)

Location : 121 Medical Center Drive, Suite 2550, Brunswick, ME

Schedule : Full-Time, 40 hours / week (Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM-5 : 00 PM)

This position is fully onsite.

Position Summary

MaineHealth Surgical Care Brunswick is seeking a Lead Patient Service Specialist to join our dynamic and dedicated team! This position supports three departments - Surgical Care, Wound Care, and Infectious Disease - ensuring that patient scheduling and referral needs are met efficiently and compassionately.

The Lead Patient Service Specialist provides guidance and day-to-day support to Patient Service Specialists, helping to communicate policies, coordinate scheduling, and maintain smooth front-office operations. This role also serves as a mentor and coach to administrative team members, fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.We have a close-knit team that balances hard work with a sense of humor and camaraderie. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and skilled group of colleagues.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education : High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • License / Certifications : N / A
  • Experience : Six months of MaineHealth Patient Service Specialist experience required.
  • Additional Skills / Requirements Required : N / A
  • Additional Skills / Requirements Preferred : Proficient computer skills.
