SWMW Law is seeking a qualified candidate to fulfill a legal support position in our Intake Department as an Intake Paralegal. This position includes working directly with the Firm’s clients 80-90% of the standard workday. A successful candidate should possess strong verbal communication skills; attention to high level of detail; service-oriented professionalism; and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience working in plaintiff’s asbestos practice desired and / or call center experience desired.

First point of contact for potential NEW clients seeking legal assistance. They are responsible for gathering information, conducting initial interviews, evaluate case viability, and manage client data, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new clients and maintaining accurate records for the legal team.
This individual will spend 80-90% of their day on the phone attempting contact with the new leads / individuals that have made an inquiry with our website or one of our digital media campaigns.
Assist in mailing and scanning intake materials, authorizations, and contracts.
Enter PNC details / information in our CRM which will be routed to TrialWorks, our firm’s case management system, upon receipt of the executed contract. Ensuring accuracy to their contact information and basic demographics if key!
Collaborate effectively with Intake team members, paralegals, paralegal managers and attorneys.
Prior experience working in a call center or Intake Department where most of the workday is focused on phone calls and client contact.
Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
Independent ability to self-start and manage assigned tasks with little supervision; ability to be proactive and take initiative.
Strong critical thinking and a natural curiosity for problem-solving.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, along with a natural desire to help people.
Prolonged periods working at a desk focusing on computer-oriented tasks.
