Overview

Guide the successful completion of major engineering programs and conduct research that supports the development and production of company products and services. Act as a recognized authority within the field, anticipate and resolve complex issues, develop standards and guides, and exercise latitude in determining technical objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of innovative principles and decisions that have an important impact on extensive engineering activities.
• Apply advanced technical principles and concepts based on broad expertise or unique specialized knowledge.
• Conceive and plan investigation of broad areas of importance where engineering precedents are lacking.
• Develop and maintain standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
• Work independently to determine improved methods and procedures to optimize technical product, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Make technical decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.
• Work under consultative direction and use independent judgment to accomplish objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
