GeoPolist is hiring : Producer, Video Podcasts The Atlantic in New York

Position description

The Atlantic is seeking a skilled video producer to join the Atlantic’s podcast team. This producer will help develop and lead the production of a new weekly video podcast, to be published on YouTube as well as in its own audio podcast feed. The show’s producer will need the ability to act independently while also collaborating closely with the show’s host, editor, engineer, and the broader editorial team.

Responsibilities include :

• Work with the host and editor to maintain editorial excellence and shepherd ideas through the creative process by pitching ideas and guests, pre-interviewing guests, and suggesting varied topics and formats
• Oversee end-to-end production of the show, from pre- to post-production, including :

Work with editor to hone ideas, structure episodes and edit scripts. Studio production, getting the best from the host and guest and ensuring the taping covers all the necessary points;

Qualifications

Salary minimum : $85,000; Salary maximum : $100,000

This role is based in New York City or Washington D.C.
