Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Description

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing large industrial ovens, conducting preventive maintenance, and executing other customer-contracted duties.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and provide technical support and service for industrial gas and electric ovens.
• Assemble company products at a standard rate.
• Follow written work instructions and complete required quality documents.
• Communicate clearly with customers, contractors, and coworkers.
• Accurately post transactions using shop floor data collection devices.
• Interpret mechanical drawings to assemble company products.
• Interpret schematics to assemble hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel gas systems.
• Build control panels from panel layout drawings and electrical schematics.
• Cut and fit conduit and other industrial wire ways.
• Interpret electrical schematics to wire company products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical circuits and mechanical problems.
• Setup and operate digital test equipment including data loggers.
• Use personal tools to assist in assembling equipment as needed.
• Travel up to 100% may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints.
• Experience with electronic and panel assembly, wiring, and control panel construction.
• Skilled in using measuring equipment and testing devices like anemometers, manometers, multimeters, and data logging equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, circuit boards, and electrical assembly.
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to pass pre-employment math, measurement, and electrical assessment tests.
• Motivated and willing to learn.
• Working knowledge of conduit bending and wire harness assembly.

Work Environment

Based in a 165,000 sq. ft. facility in north central Ohio, we employ a professional staff equipped with state-of-the-art metal manufacturing equipment. We utilize solid modeling design software and CAD/CAM processes including CNC laser cutting, CNC press brake, CNC turret punch, CNC sawing, CNC mill, and robotic welding. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
