A confidential organization is seeking a skilled Mobile Applications Engineer to focus on Android development with some exposure to iOS. This individual contributor role will develop, maintain, and enhance native mobile applications , collaborating with Product, UX, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality, customer-facing mobile solutions.
You'll implement scalable architectures, manage mobile build / signing processes, integrate APIs and third-party SDKs, and maintain code quality through automated testing. This position emphasizes hands-on development, problem-solving, and delivering modern, reliable mobile applications. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications (Java / Kotlin).
- Implement clean architecture and design patterns (e.g., MVVM) for maintainable and scalable code.
- Write automated UI tests using Espresso (Android) and XCUITest (iOS) as part of CI / CD pipelines.
- Manage mobile app builds, signing workflows, provisioning profiles, certificates, entitlements, and build variants.
- Integrate third-party libraries and SDKs (e.g., Firebase, analytics, location services).
- Consume and integrate APIs, handling authentication, errors, caching, and retry logic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless mobile experiences.
- Integrate content from CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Stay current with mobile platform updates, tools, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
4+ years programming in Java / Kotlin for Android.2+ years developing automated tests using Espresso or XCUITest.3+ years experience with mobile app signing and build variants.3+ years integrating third-party libraries or source code.2+ years experience with CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager preferred).3+ years integrating APIs / services.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).Preferred Skills
