Assistant Boys Basketball Coach

Cottage Grove High School is seeking an assistant boys basketball coach for the 202526 school year. This position will support CGHS student-athletes in achieving success both athletically and academically.

Responsibilities :

Collaborate with all levels of the CGHS Boys Basketball program (Varsity JV and JV2).

Potentially serve as the JV Head Coach JV2 Head Coach or Varsity Assistant Coach depending on program needs.

Effectively analyze and teach the fundamental skills and strategies of basketball.

Plan organize conduct and evaluate practice sessions.

Develop implement and evaluate game plans and strategies.

Serve as a leader mentor and role model for student-athletes.

Work collaboratively with the entire coaching staff to ensure program success.

Attend all practices games and team meetings.

Qualifications :

Qualified applicants must have a general knowledge of basketball skills strategies and rules. They must be willing to support the program wherever needed and be open to fulfilling any of the coaching roles listed above.

Compensation :

Compensation will be distributed through a stipend and determined based on available funding and the athletics stipend schedule.
