Administrative Support Positions
The Committee on Appropriations is recruiting multiple individuals to provide administrative support to committee staff. These clerical positions serve in a temporary, time-limited capacity. OPS employees will work 32 to 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., with some occasional evening hours.
Individuals may anticipate employment between October 2025 March 2026.
Examples of work performed include :
- Providing administrative assistance.
- Answering phones and routing incoming calls.
- Greeting visitors.
- Loading copiers and making copies.
- Filing documents.
- Inputting data and running reports.
- Preparing meeting notebooks.
- Operating recording software during committee meetings.
- Delivering documents within the Capitol complex.
- Performing other related duties as required.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include :
Ability to maintain accurate records.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.Ability to follow office procedures and practices.Ability to communicate effectively.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.Minimum qualifications include :
