Revel is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in a high-impact, multifaceted role. This position combines accounts receivable, accounts payable, and compliance responsibilities, providing a unique opportunity to gain broad accounting experience and make a meaningful contribution to the organization. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions.
In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of customer and vendor transactions. On the accounts receivable side, you will record and reconcile customer payments, convert sales proposals to orders, issue invoices, and manage customer information, including billing issues and tax documentation. You will work closely with project managers to ensure that all job-related financial data is accurate and up-to-date, proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance reporting. On the accounts payable side, you will review and process vendor invoices, prepare payments via ACH, check, or online bill-pay systems, maintain the vendor master file, and support vendor inquiries to ensure smooth supplier relationships.
Compliance is a critical aspect of this position. You will take ownership of federal, state, and entity-specific compliance requirements, including registering the company in new states, accurately and on time filing sales taxes, and serving as a liaison with third-party compliance vendors. You will also support internal and external audits, ensuring all AR and AP documentation is accurate and readily available.
This role requires a highly organized, analytical, and proactive individual with a deep understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and US tax regulations, including state sales tax. You should be comfortable working with ERP systems, spreadsheets, and financial reporting tools, andbe able to manage multiple priorities with precision and autonomy. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a problem-solving attitude are essential, as you will partner across teams to maintain financial integrity and support operational decision-making.
