PCS Field Engineer I - Telemetry & Patient Monitoring - Miami, FL

Job Description Summary

The Field Engineer will perform preventative maintenance, recalls, and corrective repairs on our life-changing medical equipment for the Telemetry and Patient Monitoring modalities within a hospital or healthcare system in the South Florida area primarily between Miami and West Palm Beach, but ultimately the Field Engineer will be responsible to work with their team to support the entire Florida Market when necessary.

Job Description

Responsibilities :

Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting on medical equipment within a hospital or healthcare system to ensure optimal delivery of healthcare services to patients.

Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution and proper follow-up to drive customer satisfaction.

Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols, to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensure documentation of all work performed is captured, including the ordering of parts.

Required Qualifications

Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, military education, participant in the formal GE HealthCare Biomedical or Field Engineer Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma / GED with 4+ years' experience servicing electronic equipment.

Valid Driver's License.

Ability to be available after-hours and / or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.

Bilingual English and Spanish required. An advanced level of knowledge and ability to communicate in both languages is critical for this role.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, kneel or crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time. Must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex or extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.
