Mammography Technologist

Position Overview:
Hudson River Imaging is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating the Siemens Revelation mammography system, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of imaging and safety in accordance with ACR, MQSA, and state guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations using the Siemens Revelation system.

• Ensure optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure in compliance with ALARA principles.

• Prepare and position patients for mammographic procedures, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.

• Verify patient identification, review medical history, and explain exam procedures.

• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to support timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Perform daily quality control and equipment checks in accordance with ACR and FDA requirements.

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in PACS/RIS.

• Stay current with new mammography techniques, regulations, and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications:

• ARRT (R)(M) certification required.

• Current state radiologic technologist license.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in mammography; Siemens Revelation system experience strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of ACR accreditation standards and MQSA compliance.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with tomosynthesis (3D mammography) workflows.

• Experience assisting with breast biopsy procedures a plus.
