Continuous Improvement Engineer – Simpsonville, KY

Forvia is looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our Simpsonville, Kentucky plant and help shape the future of performance and profitability.

What You'll Do :

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you'll be a key player in deploying Forvia Excellence System & Principles (FES&P) across the plant. You'll lead initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Supporting the development and execution of site and departmental improvement plans.
  • Leading the deployment of lean manufacturing principles to achieve plant performance targets.
  • Coaching and training plant teams on FES tools and methodologies.
  • Driving shopfloor engagement and improvement activities.
  • Ensuring alignment between FES KPIs and plant financial performance.
  • Collaborating with engineering and program teams to integrate lean principles from the design stage.
  • Acting as a change agent to promote a continuous improvement mindset across the plant.
  • Leading ergonomic assessments and improvements to enhance employee safety and comfort.
  • Supporting and reinforcing lockout / tagout procedures to ensure safe equipment maintenance and compliance.
  • Reporting progress to plant leadership and liaising with divisional FES experts to share best practices.

What You Bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
  • 4–5 years of experience in a production or industrial environment.
  • Proven ability to improve process KPIs using lean principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Familiarity with lean tools such as standardized work, process layout optimization, and equipment validation.
  • Understanding of ergonomic principles and lockout / tagout safety protocols.
  • This position is not eligible now or in the future for new visa sponsorship of any kind, including candidates with OPT Practical Training visas.
