Travel RN Job Details

Position : Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Specialty : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg), Ortho

Unit : 36-bed Med / Surg / Ortho

Contract Length : 20 weeks

Start Date : September 15, 2025

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend; holidays as scheduled

Float : To ED / ICU for medical holds only

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1910 - $2040

Med / Surg RN Qualifications

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (no pending or temporary licenses)

American Heart Association BLS certification

Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience

EPIC charting experience required

Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; BSN preferred

Confident, independent, and adaptable RN

Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as needed

Applicants must reside outside a 40-mile radius of Marion, IL

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in a 36-bed Med / Surg / Ortho unit

Manage a patient ratio of 6 : 1

Float to Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for medical holds as needed

Demonstrate adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records

Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations
