Spa Operations Manager
As the Spa Operations Manager, you will oversee the seamless day-to-day operations of the spa, fitness center, and retail boutique. This role ensures that every wellness touchpointfrom a restorative massage to a personalized fitness session or luxury product purchasereflects our commitment to Southern grace and Forbes 5-Star service standards. You will lead and inspire a passionate team, uphold operational excellence, and curate wellness experiences that align with the charm and tranquility of Charleston.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Oversee all spa treatment services, locker rooms, and relaxation areas to ensure a peaceful, pristine environment.
- Manage the scheduling, training, and performance of therapists, estheticians, and attendants.
- Ensure all services are delivered with precision, discretion, and personalized attention in line with luxury standards.
- Oversee daily operations of the hotel fitness center, ensuring all equipment is clean, safe, and functional.
- Monitor guest usage and identify opportunities for fitness programming, personal training, or wellness partnerships.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance with engineering and manage any repair needs promptly.
- Curate and manage the hotel's luxury retail boutique, ensuring appealing product presentation and guest engagement.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct ordering and stock rotation, and lead staff training on product knowledge.
- Collaborate with vendors to introduce new products aligned with Charleston's wellness culture and guest preferences.
- Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained, and professional team across spa, fitness, and retail areas.
- Monitor and respond to guest feedback, track KPIs, and uphold Forbes 5-Star standards.
- Support budget planning, revenue goals, and promotional initiatives across all wellness channels.
- Collaborate with other departments to support guest experience enhancements and special wellness offerings.
Required Skills & Experience :
35 years' experience in luxury Forbes 5-Star spa, fitness, or wellness operations management.Strong team leadership, guest service, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Deep knowledge of massage, esthetics, and wellness trends; fitness center operations; and luxury spa retail.Proficiency with spa software and POS / retail systems.Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.South Carolina Massage Therapy or Esthetics license preferred, but not required.Physical Requirements :
