The objective of this position is to exceed the customer's expectation of service by assisting the Driver by assuring the safe transportation and delivery of food to customer locations, following company policies and procedures. Assuring shipment of temperature controlled and undamaged product, proper count of goods at customer locations, assuring inventory levels are FIFO in the customer locations.

Required skills & abilities : Ability to follow all safety protocols including spotting the driver in close quarter maneuvers. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work flexible hours. The ability to lift heavy objects. Excellent communication skills. Strong work ethic.

Physical requirements : The ability to lift 25 / 50 / 80 pounds regularly. The ability to respond quickly to sounds. The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations. The ability to see well at night.

Minimum driver helper requirements :

• 18 years of age
• Minimum 1 year driver helper experience.
• Must be able to work in incremental weather.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be comfortable working overnight and weekends.
• Must be a team player.

Driver helper demands :

Delivery week : Sunday evening through Saturday morning.
