Job Responsibilities :

• Evaluate Pediatric Patients : Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional needs of children from birth to adolescence.
• Develop Individualized Treatment Plans : Create customized therapy plans targeting developmental delays, motor skills, sensory integration, and other challenges, in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Implement Therapy Interventions : Deliver age-appropriate therapeutic interventions using play-based techniques, sensory activities, and exercises to improve fine and gross motor skills, daily living activities, and social participation.
• Monitor Progress : Regularly assess and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to meet the child’s developmental goals.
• Family Education and Training : Provide guidance, resources, and training to parents and caregivers on techniques to support therapy goals at home, including exercises, adaptive strategies, and behavior management.
• Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams : Work closely with speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care for each child.
• Promote Sensory Integration and Regulation : Address sensory processing disorders through structured activities aimed at improving a child’s ability to process and respond to sensory information.
• Support School Readiness : Prepare children for school by working on fine motor skills (e.g., handwriting), self-care tasks, and social skills necessary for classroom participation.
• Adapt and Recommend Assistive Devices : Evaluate and recommend adaptive equipment, tools, and environmental modifications to enhance a child’s independence and participation in daily activities.
• Maintain Documentation and Compliance : Complete accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and relevant regulations.
• Participate in Professional Development : Engage in continuous learning opportunities, staying updated on the latest pediatric OT practices, research, and techniques.
• Community Outreach and Education : Assist in organizing workshops, educational sessions, and support groups for families and community partners to promote awareness of pediatric occupational therapy services.
