Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager in California requiring CA RN licensure and recent Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a Case Manager in a hospital setting
  • Day shift, 5x8 hours, typically 8 : 00 to 16 : 30
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day
  • Expected to float between all facilities within the state
  • Pre-assignment modules required, averaging 16 hours to complete
  • Float expectations include all facilities within California
  • Must have all required certifications at the time of consideration
  • Limited approved RTO; excess time off may delay or hinder an offer
  • COVID and flu vaccination documentation may be required
  • Communication devices may be provided if needed for assignment
  • First-time travelers may apply

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent case management experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references from the past 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
  • Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
  • Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a different rate
