Under the supervision of the Physician Director of the SBHU, the Program Director is responsible for the daily management and operations of the SBHU. The Program Director plans, directs and evaluates psychiatric services in the SBHU, ensuring high-quality care that complies with state and federal regulations. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring quality of care for all behavioral health patients, the financial viability of the service, and the expansion and growth of behavioral health programming. Position responsibilities include supervising clinical and non-clinical staff, managing daily operations of the SBHU, managing budgets and financial operations, and collaborating with internal departments and external organizations to enhance program growth and community outreach. In addition, the position is responsible for planning, communicating, coordinating, collaborating, directing, assessing and educating staff and others, as needed, to achieve high performance standards for the assigned unit.
