License : ASCP preferred, AMT acceptable

• Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions.
• Skill in the use of computers and related software applications.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Description :

The Med Lab Scientist 2 performs and monitors a full range of laboratory testing and analysis.

This role assumes responsibility for problem resolution, quality control, and required equipment maintenance with minimal supervision.

Laboratory tests are performed in compliance with department procedures and all pertinent regulatory requirements.

Quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures are followed consistently.

Instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting are conducted routinely.

Test results are reported accurately and in a timely manner.

An appropriate inventory of supplies is maintained to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

Effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel and other disciplines are prioritized.

Participation in laboratory projects and educational activities is encouraged.

Demonstration and education of laboratory principles and technical skills to others is part of the role.

The ability to competently perform all essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, is a basic requirement.

Demonstrated commitment to effective customer service delivery and integrity is expected.

The position requires the ability to work productively as a member of a team or work group.
