Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary spatial computer that seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space. It will allow us to do the things we love in ways never before possible all while staying connected to the people around us. The Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for a senior Media Software Engineer to help us push the limits of the next generation of spatial media. This team works on key technologies and frameworks that enables spatial media experiences on Vision Pro and future AR / VR products. We are looking for a Video / Imaging Software Engineer to join our team of media processing specialists. Your mission will be to work on the next generation media technologies, design, develop, and implement media processing pipeline and frameworks that powers exciting media experiences on Apple Vision Pro. We need your passion, knowledge, and creativity to solve complex technical challenges. You will have a unique and direct opportunity to create products that will inspire millions of Apple's customers as a core member of our fast-paced group.

Minimum Qualifications :

• B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience with software development
• Experience with image and video processing, media processing pipelines
• Excellent programming skills and proficient with one of the programming languages : C / C++, Objective-C, and Swift
• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills
• A strong focus on end user experience
• Creative and collaborative approach to problem solving, and a drive to build products that surprise and delight.

Preferred Qualifications :

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $212,000 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
